Principal Area of Responsibility: The Process Engineer is a member of the Wax Engineering team. The successful candidate will lead root cause analysis develop process controls and champion new processes. The Process Engineer coordinates dispositions cross-functionally with other departments and/or the customer as needed.
Specific Duties:
- Champions the development of specific investment casting processes to meet required customer specification quality and production goals.
- Responsible for investment casting process improvements including elimination of wax defects such as cracks handling dimensional defects and the improvement of machine utilization.
- Develop new processes define controls and develop solutions to process related programs.
- Coordinates with product engineer production engineers supervisors and other stakeholders to achieve plant scrap targets.
- Communicate with customers on process issues.
- Prepare process approval packages on developmental jobs or revised processes.
- Provide hands on floor level investigations and problem solving.
- Respond as necessary on the off shift to advise on and provide solutions to process problems.
- Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that gets along with customers clients co-workers supervisors and peers.
- Accept special projects as assigned.
Physical and Mental Demands:
- The ability to handle stress associated with high activity in manufacturing environment.
- Ability to analyze technical data and prepare reports statements and projections. A proactive hands-on strategic thinker with solid problem-solving skills.
- Experience presenting to high levels of management with confidence and precision.

- Attention to detail and an attitude of 100% compliance with all company and regulatory requirements.
