Reporting to: Deputy Head of Griffith College Limerick

Location: Griffith College Limerick

Job Type: Part-time (approx. 10 hours per week flexible schedule during term time / 24 weeks fixed-term contract


Job Summary:


The Social Activities Co-Ordinator will be responsible for planning promoting and delivering a varied programme of social cultural and recreational activities that enhance the student experience. Working closely with Student Services clubs and societies and external partners the postholder will foster student engagement and community spirit within the College.


Key Responsibilities:


Develop and deliver a calendar of social and cultural events aligned with student needs and interests.
Support the organisation of student clubs societies and volunteer initiatives.
Promote events effectively through digital platforms noticeboards and student networks.
Liaise with internal departments and external providers to secure venues resources and partnerships.
Encourage inclusive participation across diverse student groups.
Gather feedback to continuously improve the student social experience.
Assist with administrative duties budgeting and reporting as required.


Qualifications and Skills:


Experience in event planning student engagement or community. development (desirable).
Strong organisational and communication skills.
Ability to work flexibly including occasional evenings.
Creative approachable and student-focused attitude.
