Join Our Team at Union Hospital Patient Escort I (Casual Weekend Role)
Are you passionate about helping others and making a difference in a healthcare setting Union Hospital is seeking a Patient Escort I to join our dedicated team in a casual position working every other weekend (Saturday & Sunday 3:00 PM 11:30 PM) with opportunities to pick up additional shifts as needed.
What Youll Do:
As a Patient Escort youll play a vital role in patient care by:
- Safely transporting patients via wheelchair stretcher or bed to various hospital departments.
- Assisting clinical staff with patient transfers.
- Supporting the maintenance and readiness of transport equipment.
- Upholding safety standards and ensuring a positive experience for patients and families.
What Were Looking For:
- High school diploma preferred.
- Prior customer service experience (2 years preferred).
- Ability to obtain BLS certification upon hire.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a service-oriented attitude.
- Physical ability to walk and stand for long periods and handle equipment safely.

This position has a starting rate of $17.32 per hour regardless of prior experience. After six months of continuous employment the hourly rate will automatically increase to $20.34 per hour. After one year of continuous employment the hourly rate will automatically increase to $21.34 per hour.This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCares good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting.
