Compensation: In accordance with California law the expected salary range for this position is posted with this position. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
Role Summary: The ERSEA Specialist helps connect families to life-changing early childhood education opportunities. Guided by St. Annes mission to build safe nurturing and resilient families this role supports the full enrollment process from outreach and eligibility to attendance ensuring every child and family receives the care and support they deserve.
- Schedule: Monday Friday 08:00 AM 05:30 PM Friday 08:00 AM 04:30 PM; Every other Friday off!
- Location: St. Annes Family Services 155 N. Occidental Blvd Los Angeles CA 90026
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage Eligibility Recruitment Selection Enrollment and Attendance (ERSEA) processes to ensure compliance with Head Start Early Head Start and state contract requirements.
- Coordinate outreach and community recruitment efforts to maintain full enrollment and meet required income eligibility thresholds.
- Monitor and analyze attendance data collaborating with Family Service Associates to address absenteeism and improve child participation.
- Maintain accurate electronic and paper records in ChildPlus and state databases ensuring compliance with LACOE and federal documentation standards.
- Provide staff training and community representation including Pre-Service and In-Service ERSEA trainings and participation in recruitment events and community assessments.
Qualifications:
- Associates degree required
-OR-
- High School Diploma or GED
- Family Development Credential
-AND-
- 1 year of experience in a social service or educational setting (Head Start/Early Head Start experience preferred)
-PLUS-
- Valid CA Class C Drivers License required
- Valid Auto Insurance required
- Access to a reliable automobile
