Job Summary

We are seeking a Long TermParaprofessional Substitute to work as a 1:1 support for a student in an elementary school classroom.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Work under the direction of the classroom teacher and special education teacher
Assist in the preparation of instructional materials
Lead and/or support direct instruction to students individually or in small groups
Assist the teacher in the collection of data
Monitor and assist students as needed to complete tasks follow routines and follow directions across a variety of settings
Communicate effectively and professionally with general education and special education staff members
Ensure the safety of students in a variety of environments
Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

Associates Degree or higher preferred
Experience working with elementary school students with special education needs preferred
