About This Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Clinical Trials Manager to join the Childrens Intensive Care Research Program (ChIRP) within the Child Health Research Centre. Based at the Centre for Childrens Health Research in South Brisbaneadjacent to the Queensland Childrens Hospitalthis role will provide specialised project management and clinical trial expertise to support world-class paediatric research.

As Clinical Trials Manager you will ensure the highest standards of clinical governance and compliance oversee multi-site investigator-initiated clinical trials and foster strong collaborations with research partners locally nationally and internationally. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to research that drives innovation and impact in paediatric intensive care.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Oversee trial operations: Establish and support multicentre multinational trial sites in collaboration with partner hospitals manage recruitment strategies coordinate ethics/regulatory submissions and ensure patient safety and reporting of adverse events.

  • Manage clinical research projects: Develop project plans monitor milestones and ensure timely delivery of multi-site clinical trials including preparation of study protocols ethics/governance submissions and trial documentation.

  • Ensure governance and compliance: Maintain robust governance frameworks and ensure adherence to ICH Good Clinical Practice Guidelines the National Statement on Ethical Conduct in Human Research and other relevant regulations.

  • Provide leadership and support: Supervise and mentor junior research staff monitor budgets maintain effective communication with stakeholders and actively contribute to a collaborative and positive research culture aligned with ChIRPs values.

About You

  • Postgraduate qualifications in a relevant health clinical or science discipline or equivalent experience in clinical trial management.

  • Experience coordinating complex multicentre clinical trials within hospital and/or academic settings.

  • Strong knowledge of clinical trial governance and compliance including GCP the National Statement and ethics/regulatory processes.

  • Proven ability to prepare and manage trial documentation ethics submissions site initiation and monitoring activities.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and engage diverse stakeholders.

  • Strong organisational and planning skills with experience managing priorities budgets and deliverables in dynamic environments.
