The Waldorf Astoria London Admiralty Arch is looking for aDirector of Safety and Security to form part of the pre-opening team for this brand-new luxury hotel set to open in is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Director of Safety and Security to support the opening of one of Londons most anticipated hotels.
This luxury hotel will be housed in the iconic Admiralty Arch a Grade I listed building located at the end of The Mall opposite Buckingham Palace.
The project is a collaboration between Hilton and Reuben Brothers who acquired the property in 2022. The hotel will feature 112 rooms and suites including a two-bedroom VIP suite on the fourth-floor bridge with stunning views of Buckingham Palace and Trafalgar can also enjoy a rooftop terrace on the sixth floor and a ground-floor terrace overlooking St Jamess Park.
The Waldorf Astoria London Admiralty Arch will offer world-class dining options with restaurants and bars helmed by renowned chefs as well as a Spa and a 320-cover ballroom. This development aims to preserve the historical significance of Admiralty Arch while providing a luxurious experience for guests.

This is a pivotal role within one of the worlds most prestigious hotel groups. This full-time position reports directly to the Director of Operations and collaborates closely with Hiltons regional Safety & Security leadership to uphold and advance our uncompromising standards of excellence.
As Director you will be entrusted with safeguarding the wellbeing of our guests Team Members and assets while shaping and executing strategic initiatives across security health & safety fire safety food safety crisis management environmental protection and accessibility compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Champion a culture of safety and security across all hotel operations ensuring alignment with global brand standards and local regulatory requirements.
Conduct high-level property audits and inspections identifying risks and implementing proactive solutions.
Implement and oversee the hotels comprehensive safety and security management systems including emergency preparedness crisis response and business continuity management.
Lead the development and execution of internal risk assessments hazard analyses and compliance reviews.
Serve as the principal advisor to hotel leadership on all matters related to safety and security.
Executive Collaboration and Operational Leadership.
Partner with senior hotel leaders and department heads to embed safety and security protocols into operational workflows and guest experiences.
Liaise with external regulatory bodies law enforcement and emergency services to ensure seamless cooperation and compliance.
Oversee the hotels audit program ensuring timely resolution of findings and drive continuous improvement.
Support the planning and execution of high-profile events ensuring robust safety and security controls and risk mitigation strategies.
Team Development & Governance.
Lead mentor and inspire the Safety & Security team fostering a high-performance culture rooted in accountability and excellence.
Deliver executive level training programs in security health and safety fire safety food safety and accessibility compliance.
Monitor performance metrics and implement corrective actions to ensure the hotel remains at the forefront of safety and security standards.
Stay abreast of evolving legislation industry trends and best practices ensuring the hotel remains compliant and competitive.

Extensive experience in safety and security leadership within luxury hospitality or a comparable high-profile environment.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence at executive level.
Inspirational leadership qualities with a passion for coaching and developing high-performing teams positioned to exceed targets
Passionate about delivering unparalleled guest service.
A calm composed presence under pressure with the agility to adapt to demanding schedules and evolving priorities.
Ability to deal effectively with all Team Members and guests some of whom will require high levels of patience tact and diplomacy to diffuse anger and collect accurate information
Exceptional interpersonal and diplomatic skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
Proven ability to manage complex situations with discretion tact and strategic foresight.
Technologically adept with proficiency in Microsoft Office and property management systems.
Highly organized with strong budgeting and problem-solving capabilities.
Ability to make decisions independently complete in-depth investigations and act as an expert in Safety and Security within the hotel.
