The Virginia Department of Social Services has an exciting opportunity to join our team as the Chief Technology Officer!!
The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) reports to the Deputy Commissioner of Policy and Administration and leads and oversees the strategic vision planning development and execution of technology strategies for the Virginia Department of Social Services. The CTO is responsible for assessing the needs of and strengthening partnerships between the agencys Technology Services Division Local Departments of Social Services vendors external technology providers and other internal and external stakeholders. The CTO ensures that the agencys technology vision strategy and resources are aligned with the agencys organizational goals. This is a key executive position that advises and collaborates with executive leaders on the agencys technology and major technology issues and identifies evaluates and recommends new technologies tools and resources to enhance both customer-facing and internal platforms.
The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) will provide direct support to the Deputy Commissioner of Policy and Administration Executive Team Technology Services Division Leadership Local Departments of Social Services partners and other stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications
Extensive Information Technology knowledge and experience to include experience in a senior-level IT leadership role leading and managing large scale projects and budgets while working with Executive leadership and stakeholders to provide oversight and management to IT and project teams.
Experience in developing and executing technology strategies in complex organizational environments by navigating multiple stakeholder groups decision making processes and contributing factors including timelines fiscal impacts risk and potential outcomes.
Leadership experience in leading change driving results and leading people ideally through the transition of legacy systems to modern solutions performance management and cultural transformation.
