We are seeking a motivated Industrial Engineering Intern/Co-op to join our team. The intern will support process improvement initiatives data analysis and efficiency optimization projects under the guidance of experienced engineers. This is a hands-on opportunity to gain valuable experience in a real-world operations or manufacturing environment.

Immerse yourself in a full-time Monday-Friday co-op session that will run January-August (including the Spring semester; it is expected students will take a semester off from coursework to fully engage with this working mentorship opportunity).

What You Will Do:

Assist in analyzing workflows production methods and process layouts to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
Support time and motion/time studies to collect data and recommend improvements.
Participate in lean manufacturing initiatives such as 5S Kaizen events or Six Sigma projects.
Collect and analyze operational data using Excel SQL or other tools.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (production quality logistics etc.) to support ongoing improvement efforts.

What You Will Learn:

Learn how to create or update process documentation standard work instructions and visual aids.
Work with and gain knowledge while assisting in capacity planning production scheduling and resource optimization.
Gain knowledge with the team and help present findings and recommendations to team leaders and stakeholders.

Qualifications You Must Have:

Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelors or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

Qualifications We Prefer:

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; knowledge of data analysis tools (e.g. Minitab Power BI SQL) is a plus.
AutoCAD a plus

The salary range for this role is 37000 USD - 82000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
