Job Summary
A high-performing Outstanding Ofsted-rated Secondary School in Haringey North London with a thriving Modern Foreign Languages department is seeking an enthusiastic ECT of MFL (specialising in French) for a permanent full-time role commencing January 2026.
Compensation & Contract
- Job Title: ECT of MFL
- Contract: Permanent Full-Time
- Start Date: January 2026
- Salary: Paid on the Inner/Outer London Teachers Pay Scales (M1) including full ECT induction entitlements.
The Role
- The new ECT of MFL will deliver high-quality French lessons across KS3 and GCSE focusing on fluency and cultural understanding.
- The ECT of MFL will benefit from the schools exemplary induction program including bespoke training and dedicated mentoring time.
- This role offers the ECT of MFL the chance to run language clubs and support exchange programs.
- The school provides strong support to ensure the ECT of MFL develops into an outstanding classroom practitioner.
Requirements
- A strong degree in French or MFL and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Native or near-native fluency in French is highly desirable.
- We are seeking a dynamic and adaptable individual ready to start their career as an ECT of MFL.
