RN ICU/CCU (Contract Role)

Location: Los Angeles CA 90028

Contract Length: 8 Weeks

Hourly Rate: $58 - $64; Based on experience (Negotiable)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Coronary Care Unit (CCU) on a contract basis. This role is ideal for a nurse who thrives in a fast-paced high-pressure environment and has a passion for providing high-level care to critically ill patients.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients in ICU/CCU.
Monitor patients and interpret vital signs lab results and other diagnostics to assess patient status.
Administer medications IVs and other treatments as prescribed by physicians.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians respiratory therapists and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans.
Ensure proper documentation of patient information including medical histories medications treatments and other pertinent data.
Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients families and staff.
Respond promptly to emergency situations and assist with life-saving measures when needed.
Provide patient education and emotional support to patients and their families.
Float to other units as needed based on patient care demands.

Required Qualifications:

Active RN License in the state of California.
Minimum of 2 years of recent ICU/CCU experience.
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required.
Ability to float between units as needed.
Strong communication critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
