Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Medical Coder with 2 3 years of hands-on experience in medical coding billing and documentation. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical terminology ICD-10 CPT and HCPCS coding standards and must possess a valid CPC certification.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately review and analyze medical records physician notes and other clinical documentation.
- Assign appropriate ICD-10 CPT and HCPCS codes for diagnoses procedures and services.
- Ensure compliance with coding guidelines payer requirements and HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with physicians nurses and billing teams to clarify and resolve coding discrepancies.
- Maintain coding accuracy and efficiency to support revenue cycle management.
- Stay updated with changes in coding standards regulations and best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- CPC (Certified Professional Coder) certification Mandatory.
- 2 3 years of professional experience in medical coding (hospital or healthcare setting preferred).
- Strong knowledge of ICD-10 CPT HCPCS Level II coding.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems and medical billing software.
- Attention to detail with excellent analytical and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills to interact with healthcare professionals.
