Under the direction of the Department Director supervision of the Radiology Supervisor and in collaboration with the radiologists performs advanced technical diagnostic imaging procedures and related activities utilizing age-specific criteria according to department standards. Serves as a customer service representative to patients their families the public and the medical staff. Participates in quality control and organizational improvement activities. Is a technical and clinical role model for less experienced radiologic technologists in the department. Participates in call schedule to meet staffing needs of the department. Travels to and from off-campus locations to perform radiographic or fluoroscopic procedures when requested.
Required Qualifications:
- Coursework/Training: Graduate of a program in radiologic technology approved by the Committee on Allied Health Education & Accreditation of the American Medical Association.
- California Radiologic Technologist upon hire.
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
- National Certification from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists upon hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience as a hospital-based radiographer.
