Position Overview
Our Client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Family Law Attorney to manage a caseload of family law matters including dissolutions custody disputes parenting plans child/spousal support and related legal issues. This role demands strong litigation negotiation and client management skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Successful candidates will be integral members of our litigation team proactively pursuing client objectives with professionalism and urgency. A proactive mindset and a strong willingness to ask questions are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage case strategy and litigation in King Snohomish and Pierce Counties.
- Coordinate competing deadlines while maintaining clear communication with various stakeholders.
- Represent clients in court argue motions and conduct hearings.
- Conduct thorough legal research and provide clients with realistic assessments and outcomes.
- Prepare for and participate in mediations trials depositions hearings and negotiations.
- Lead and manage a team of paralegals and legal support staff.
- Bill a minimum of 6 hours per business day and meet additional productivity targets.
- Handle high volumes of concurrent tasks and projects with precision.
- Respond quickly and effectively to urgent legal matters.
Minimum Qualifications
- 2 years experience in Family Law litigation in Washington State.
- Active member of the Washington State Bar Association (WSBA) in good standing.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat.
- Familiarity with the Clio practice management software ecosystem.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and requests in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills-both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated sound judgment in complex or ambiguous situations.
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Experience working with decentralized teams via Microsoft Teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Financial or bookkeeping experience.
- Experience with business anti-fraud analytics or investigative practices.
- Undergraduate degree in Business or Economics.
