EduTalent Group is recruiting a dedicated Primary Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a pupil with ASD in a primary school in Horsham. This is a permanent role offering the chance to make a lasting impact on a pupils development and learning.
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver personalised 1:1 support for a pupil with ASD
- Assist the teacher in planning and implementing lessons
- Promote communication independence and social skills
- Encourage positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
- Implement strategies provided by the SENCO and teaching team
Requirements
- Experience supporting pupils with ASD
- Patience empathy and consistency
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with the class teacher and SENCO
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)
