About the programme

During the Accountancy & Finance Summer Internship youll gain practical experience across governance planning audit and reporting building the expertise to assess risk and support long-term financial resilience. The scheme is designed to develop your core skills in judgement engagement self-management and delivery while deepening your knowledge through analysis and research.

Youll be assigned to a team where youll work on real projects that contribute to the FCAs strategic objectives. Your experience will be tailored to help you build a strong foundation in financial services with opportunities to apply economic thinking and provide valuable advice to help FCA functions deliver on their goals.

For those interested in accountancy the internship offers hands-on experience in financial audit internal controls reporting and governance. Youll strengthen your understanding of accounting principles regulatory frameworks and risk assessment and their practical application.

Note: Successful interns will be offered a place on our graduate scheme in the same location. Please apply for the internship in the location where you would also want to work as a graduate.

You must have obtained or be on track to achieve a minimum 2:1 degree from any university

Applicants for the 2026 summer internship must be in their penultimate year of study
