| Role Description: |
The Manager Materials Management is responsible for the overall data analytics and administrative services conducted within materials management for maintenance and service parts for DC Water operations. Functional responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to the integration between the CMS and the ERP systems at DC Water; the Item Master within the CMS inventory planning management and control; supplier and contract management; purchasing and purchase order management; and facilitating the completion of the payment process for Materials Managements purchase orders.
| Essential Duties & Responsibilities: |
Supervisory Responsibilities: Provide daily planning administration and management of his/her area of responsibility. Individually or through subordinates ensure the selection assignment supervision promotion discipline and training of personnel within the area of responsibility.
Key Working Relationships:Interact with DC Water managers and supervisors outside agency officials contractors and suppliers etc. Maintain strong working relationships with senior staff in other DCW departments.

Required Skills & Qualifications
| Required Experience: |
| Seven (7) years of progressive experience in supply chain management and operations management. |
| Demonstrated experience in Oracle Cloud ERP City Works and MAXIMO. Experience will include system management and improvement. |
| Minimum Education Requirements: |
| Bachelors degree in Business Administration Operations Management Materials Management Logistics or related field from an accredited college or university. |
| Required Skills: |
| Strong management and team leadership skills with the ability to develop strong support for change with all levels of internal and external organizations. |
| Possess excellent written and oral communication skills including subordinates peers and superiors. |
| Strong analytical planning and organizational skills. |
| Skills shall include presentations to upper-level management. |
| Project management and team leadership skills in a multi-location environment inclusive of three (3) years of supervisory experience |
| Working knowledge of inventory management systems and purchasing/planning systems. |
| Exhibit a comprehensive knowledge and demonstrated success in management of complex supplier relationships. |
| Proficiency in MS office suite including Excel Word and Teams and other necessary applicable software programs including systems management software. |
