Responsibilities
In this role you will promote and coordinate high quality standard peri-operative care for the Cardiac patient in conjunction with surgeons anesthesia perfusion ancillary and support staff.
You will providedirect patient care in the surgical environment and works collaboratively with the surgeon and other team members to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Works under the direct supervision of the surgeon during the intraoperative phase.
The role of the clinical nurse is to deliver patient care through assessment planning implementation and evaluation of patient needs with the highest professional standard while promoting nursing excellence through continued education and research
Qualifications
- Graduate of approved nursing program required
- RN - Current State of California Registered Nurse license required
- BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required
- Adult Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 3 months of hire or transfer into job
