YOU (can do all of these things as a Consultant)

Prepare agendas activity reports critical paths and contact reports
Carry out media relations activities such as: writing first drafts of media materials such as pitches advisories news releases matte stories invitations; coordinating distribution of media materials
Conduct media relations to secure interviews news coverage and attendance at events
Work with the team to execute influencer programs including identification relationship building and measurement
Pitch secure and negotiate top-tier media/influencer placements to meet KPls for accounts
Participate in the creation of integrated plans with PR/Digital/etc as required
Day-to-day client communications including updates approvals reporting and presentations
Contribute ideas to program development and story ideas
Define competitive landscape and identifying issues gaps and opportunities for clients
Participate in new business process including research audits idea contribution and proposal preparation
Development and execution of special events and experiential activities

THE ASK

2 years of relevant experience in PR experiential and/or integrated marketing retail beauty financial or consumer brands/CPG would be an asset
Demonstrated media relations and influencer skills
Experience with public relations tools such as Meltwater MRP and Cision
Strategic thinker who has a pulse on current industry and cultural trends to bring innovative insights to the work
Superior client servicing and relationship building skills with both internal and external stakeholders
Proactive problem solver who thrives under pressure in a fast-paced work environment
Curious eager to learn and exceeds what is expected
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and outstanding presentation skills
Proficient with Excel PowerPoint and Word programs
Excellent time management skills with the ability to multi-task manage priorities and meet tight deadlines. Detail-oriented a must
Strong understanding of media relations influencer marketing and social media
The ability to be flexible adaptable and wear many hats
A positive attitude and a desire to learn and grow

Compensation

ruckus Digital/APEX is committed to offering competitive pay for the role and experience that the candidate brings. The salary range for this role is $50000 to $70000 depending on experience.

This is a full time position at 40 hours a week but may also require after office hours or weekend attendance due to events or client initiatives. ruckus Digital/APEX has a hybrid work model employees are expected to be in the office 3 days. We feel that this model promotes creativity collaboration and professional development while still giving employees the flexibility of remote work.
