Practice Manager
A leading community-based healthcare organization in the Bronx is seeking aPractice Managerto oversee operations at its largest and most dynamic clinical site. This full-time onsite role offers an opportunity to lead a multidisciplinary team committed to delivering accessible compassionate and high-quality care to patients of all ages. This high-volume location provides a range of services including pediatrics primary care neurology and infectious disease. The sites team includes registered nurses physical therapists medical office assistants patient service representatives and board-certified physicians. The Practice Manager plays a key role in coordinating these teams and ensuring operational excellence across the practice!
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the Bronx practice (70 staff members).
- Supervise medical and administrative staff including medical office assistants RNs and patient service representatives.
- Ensure proper staffing coverage manage sick calls and coordinate replacements as needed.
- Partner with licensed providersincluding physicians dentists and social workersto ensure smooth patient flow and clinical efficiency.
- Manage timekeeping scheduling and labor verification processes for all staff.
- Support hiring onboarding and performance evaluations in collaboration with department leads.
- Monitor patient volume provider schedules and no-show rates to optimize patient access and resource allocation.
- Foster a culture of collaboration accountability and continuous improvement aligned with the organizations mission.
Qualifications
- 35 years of experience managing a medical practice or healthcare department (e.g. outpatient clinic diagnostic center physicians office).
- Minimum 2 years of recent management experience in a clinical setting.
- Associates degree required (Bachelors preferred).
- RN licensureHIGHLY preferred but not required.
- Strong leadership communication and organizational skills.
