Job Description
The IT Associate III will be responsible for the installation configuration support and maintenance of servers virtual machines endpoint devices and related computing hardware and software. Duties include preparing equipment documentation and comprehensive status reports; assisting in ensuring the quality reliability and effectiveness of systems applications and solutions; and performing system monitoring and maintenance. The IT Associate III will monitor servers networks software and equipment operations to ensure connectivity performance and availability while maintaining accurate system logs and records of activity technical support and issue resolution. Additionally the IT Associate III will assist with diagnosing troubleshooting and resolving IT-related problems to restore functionality.

Essential Duties
  • Troubleshoot and Resolve Issues
    Diagnose troubleshoot and repair Windows Server and endpoint hardware/software problems to ensure system reliability and minimize downtime.
  • System Planning and Deployment
    Plan design and implement third-party system deployments in collaboration with architects administrators engineers and external application vendors.
  • Server and OS Administration
    Administer and maintain Windows Server and Windows 11 operating systems applying industry best practices for security hardening patch management and system optimization. Utilize command line tools and foundational PowerShell scripting for automation and configuration management.
  • Monitoring and Performance Optimization
    Employ monitoring tools diagnostic utilities and troubleshooting methodologies to enhance application performance maintain service availability and ensure stability across the Windows Server environment.
  • Reporting and Documentation
    Prepare detailed reports on IT projects system performance and operational activities. Perform additional related duties as assigned to support organizational goals and IT operations.

Public Speaking Duties
  • Ability to communicate orally with coworkers supervisors and the public
  • Ability to exchange and convey technical and non-technical information

Other Job Requirements/Information
  • This job requires a public safety background check to include motor vehicle histories criminal histories and finger printing.
  • This position may require on-call rotation and emergency after hours weekends and/or holidays.

Grade
The salary grade is C41(1). Salary will be depending on education and experience.

Effective 4/11/2023 the position will be eligible for the Employee Referral Program.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in a related field and one year of related computer/information technology and/or programming experience
  • OR an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above

Preferred Qualifications in addition to the above minimum qualifications
  • Qualifications in A Server NET Security MCSA Microsoft AZ 800 Microsoft AZ 801
  • 2 years of related computer/information technology and/or programming experience
  • Valid Drivers License
