- Position Summary:
The Merrilee Alexander Kick College of Business & Entrepreneurship at Texas Womans University seeks a distinguished scholar for the inaugural Merrilee Alexander Kick Endowed Professor of Entrepreneurship position. This role (associate or full professor) will anchor the Colleges growing entrepreneurship portfolio by producing leading-edge scholarship mentoring faculty and students and forging research partnerships across the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. The position includes a competitive salary and annual research stipend from endowment funds to support the professors scholarly activities and impact. - Associate or Full Professor Starting August 2026
- Nine-month appointment with summer research support
- Teaching load of 2 courses per semester

Key Responsibilities:
Research Leadership
Teaching & Mentoring
- Teach courses in undergraduate or MBA programs in various modalities (face-to-face hybrid or online) with a focus on entrepreneurship topics.
- Deliver core entrepreneurship courses.
- Mentor and co-author with junior faculty in research design data analytics and manuscript development.
- Supervise student research projects and provide guidance on entrepreneurial ventures.
- Develop innovative pedagogical approaches that inspire and prepare the next generation of entrepreneurs.
Service & Outreach
- Act as an ambassador for the College at academic conferences policy forums and corporate entrepreneurship events.
- Foster connections between the university and the vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem in the DFW metroplex.
- Contribute to the strategic direction of the Colleges entrepreneurship programs and initiatives.
- Participate in College and University committees and governance activities as appropriate.
- PhD in Entrepreneurship Management or closely related field.
- Record of scholarship meriting tenure at the Associate or Full Professor level.
- Outstanding publication record in top-tier journals with a clear and active research pipeline.
- Excellence in graduate and undergraduate teaching across multiple instructional modalities.
- Demonstrated commitment to advancing entrepreneurship education and research.
- Experience supervising PhD dissertations post-doctoral fellows or other faculty development roles (preferred).
- Methodological expertise in longitudinal or panel data (e.g. STATA Python R) or another cutting-edge methodological approach (preferred).
Qualifications:
- PhD in Entrepreneurship Management or closely related field.
- Record of scholarship meriting tenure at the Associate or Full Professor level.
- Outstanding publication record in top-tier journals with a clear and active research pipeline.
- Excellence in graduate and undergraduate teaching across multiple instructional modalities.
- Demonstrated commitment to advancing entrepreneurship education and research.
