Job Summary

Summary
The Station Manager is responsible for the overall management and operational oversight of a designated Emergency Medical Services (EMS) station. This role combines business acumen with operational leadership to ensure efficient and high-quality pre-hospital emergency and non-emergency services. The manager will lead a team of EMTs and paramedics oversee all station logistics and implement policies to ensure compliance with all local state and federal regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Operational Management:
    • Supervise and lead all station staff including EMTs and paramedics and manage daily station activities to ensure operational efficiency.
    • Oversee scheduling fleet readiness and resource allocation to meet service demands.
    • Ensure compliance with all operational procedures safety protocols and company policies.
    • Review and analyze operational data to identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions.
  • Personnel Management:
    • Conduct performance evaluations provide coaching and implement disciplinary action when necessary.
    • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that promotes team cohesion and high morale.
    • Serve as a mentor to staff assisting with professional development and training opportunities.
  • Business and Administrative:
    • Manage the stations budget control costs and track expenditures.
    • Prepare administrative and operational reports for senior leadership.
    • Work with accounting and billing departments to ensure accurate and timely documentation for financial purposes.
  • Community and Compliance:
    • Act as a liaison between the station and local government hospital partners and the public.
    • Ensure all station operations are in compliance with regulatory agencies such as state EMS boards and the Department of Health.
    • Manage risk and ensure a safe working environment for all personnel.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration Healthcare Administration
  • At least two years in a supervisory or management role.
  • Demonstrated experience in financial management including budget oversight.
  • Strong organizational analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
