Job Description

The University of Nevada Reno (University of Nevada or Nevada) the flagship land-grant institution of the Nevada System of Higher Education is seeking a visionary Executive Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations to lead and expand our corporate and foundation fundraising program. This role is responsible for developing strategies to increase philanthropic support from corporations foundations associations and other organizations advancing the universitys 13 colleges key initiatives and research programs. As a senior fundraising strategist the Executive Director will provide programmatic and philanthropic leadership contributing to the development management and enhancement of the Corporate and Foundation Relations team. This includes benchmarking national best practices designing innovative approaches to organizational giving and serving as a trusted resource to Advancement staff and university leadership.

Reporting to the Associate Vice President for Development the Executive Director will collaborate closely with faculty administrators and Advancement professionals to cultivate new relationships with prospective organizational funders whose priorities align with the universitys research teaching and community engagement missionespecially those not yet deeply engaged with UNR. This position offers a unique opportunity to shape an emerging corporate and foundation relations program and to have a meaningful impact on the universitys growth research and public engagement.

Minimum Required Qualifications

Bachelors Degreeand five (5) years of related professional work experience OR Masters Degree and three (3) years of related professional work experience in creating leading and managing a corporate foundation relations program preferably in higher education healthcare or large national non-profit or related.

Grants-in-Aid for Faculty Employees

The University is proud to provide a reduced-rate tuition benefit to faculty and qualified dependents. Faculty can take up to six credits per semester at a reduced rate.
