The opportunity

As a Manager in Tax Controversy & Policy you will advise clients on a broad range of tax matters with a focus on the technical and tactical management of all things tax.

This position is based inBoorloo Perth. Our roles can potentially be adjusted to work flexibly with reduced hours. Please speak with us about potential options.

Your key responsibilities

Actively engage in resolving complex tax disputes including alternative dispute resolution and support clients in responding to ATO reviews and audits.
Assist clients to navigate engagement with revenue authorities including being involved in settlement discussions and negotiations.
Research tax law and tax administration issues
Draft high-quality advice objections private binding ruling requests requests for amended assessments and penalty submissions.
Advise a range of clients from large corporates to high-net-worth individuals helping them to develop and document their tax corporate governance processes and test the operational effectiveness of their tax corporate governance framework.

Skills and attributes for success

Law Degree
Admitted to practice
Tax technical skills or the ability to acquire
Ability to develop strong and broad relationships with clients and provide a high level of client service
Ability to work with a number of different clients and internal stakeholders on multiple deadlines

Ideally youll also have

Experience in tax advisory and tax compliance and reporting
Problem solving abilities and a focus on solutions
Willingness to learn and become involved in a range of different types of work
