Purchasing Agent – Projects

Were looking for a detail-driven and relationship-oriented Purchasing Agent to help keep our project supply chain running smoothly ensuring the right parts components and materials arrive on time every time.

What Youll Do

• Source and purchase materials electronic components and other devices based on Bills of Material (BOMs) drawings and technical specs.

• Partner with Engineering Production and Project Management to align procurement with each projects requirements and timeline.

• Issue purchase orders track deliveries and follow up with vendors to keep everything on schedule.

• Negotiate pricing delivery terms and long-term supplier relationships that support both quality and cost efficiency.

• Manage inventory levels for project-specific needs and coordinate just-in-time deliveries.

• Resolve supplier issues quickly and professionally quality delivery or invoicing.

• Keep accurate records of pricing vendor performance and compliance with company standards.

• Contribute ideas for cost savings and process improvements we love continuous improvement!

• Support audits and ensure compliance with company and industry standards.

What Youll Bring

• Associates or Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Business Engineering or a related field (preferred).

• 3 years of experience in purchasing procurement or supply chain ideally in manufacturing or construction.

• Experience buying from drawings and BOMs and working closely with technical teams. Understanding machine shop capabilities is a plus.

• Hands-on experience with ERP/MRP systems (Microsoft Dynamics GP preferred).

• Strong ability to research suppliers online and evaluate product specs.

• Bonus points if youve handled procurement for computer hardware software or technical equipment.
