As aDirector of Department Stores based in Chicagoyou are responsible fordeveloping applying & overseeing the business activities for the account sales team (Mens Womens Kids and EQ). You are accountable for executing and analyzing business plans budgets and performance targets. Key will be working with senior sales management to develop manage and execute a strong account management strategy. You will propose and ensure the execution of policies programs and processes to achieve revenue targets retail sales targets and strong brand positioning while contributing to commercial sales planning and decision-making.
Key Areas of Focus:
Account Management/Account Relationships:
Develop strong account relationships that lead to collaborative account management. Establish strong relationships with key customer employees including executives buyers order toinfluence and execute Nikes account plans.
Strategic Planning:
Develop apply and oversee the strategic account strategy. Create and implement short and long-term business plans for achieving revenue growth and other financial targets. Lead and oversee the process for realistic and accurate scenario planning forecasting seasonal initiatives business analysis and new sales opportunities for the strategic account.
People Management:
Manage theaccountssales team. Accountable for hiring developing and coaching direct reports. Prepare and deliverquarterly performance anddevelopment reviews. Oversee direct reports decisions on hiring disciplinary action performance management and recognition and rewards. Resolve employee relations issues and promote diversity. Lead strategic Human Resource Planning (HRP) for the team and contribute to the broader regional and global HRP process.
Communication:
Communicate a clear vision that motivates and enables action from both sales but also from the other key stakeholders (from finance to merchandising). Ensure that the management team staff and appropriate Nike partners (product business units finance marketing customer service HR etc.) are aligned and business plans are executed in coordination.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in business or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education experience and training
8 years work experience in applicable field required
Experience leading retail sales efforts for a channel required
Expert understanding of retail and in-store environment required
Account product distribution strategy experience strongly preferred
Budget management experience required. People management experience preferred
Ability to travel up to 40% may be required
