Job Summary

The Role:

Foodservice Sales Representatives are responsible for driving sales while also addressing customer needs and ensuring satisfaction. This role requires a driven results-oriented professional with a proven track record in prospecting selling and managing customer accounts. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced competitive environment and demonstrates both strategic thinking and tactical execution.

Responsibilities:

  • Business Development & Prospecting: Manage the full sales cycle from initial outreach to finalizing agreements and onboarding customers
  • Sales Execution: Overcome objections and influence decision-makers to switch vendors or expand product offerings.
  • Account Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts. Monitor sales performance and profitability for assigned accounts and take corrective action as needed.
  • Interdepartmental Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams including buyers operations and transportation to ensure customer satisfaction and timely service.
  • Market Awareness & Reporting: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends competitive activity and pricing strategies.

Expectations: This is an outside sales position responsible for promoting the companys products and services and for building relationships with new and existing accounts. The main focus is to help Charlies Produce customers succeed while achieving sales and profit goals established by the company. 

Schedule: Schedule varies based on customer/business needs which may require work during weekends and holidays. This position often requires working non-traditional hours (evening weekends and holidays) to successfully meet customers needs.


Qualifications :

Desired Qualifications & Experience:

  • Extensive knowledge of the foodservice industry; restaurant management experience a plus.
  • 3 years of experience in retail wholesale or foodservice sales preferably within the restaurant or produce industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully prospect and close new business.
  • Strong communication negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Excellent phone etiquette.
  • Self-motivated resilient and capable of managing competing priorities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. 
  • Strong planning and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Acceptable driving record and proof of insurance.
  • Able to work flexible hours and up to 50% travel.
