Job Summary

1. Clinical Team Supervision and Coordination

  • Supervise the clinical team members such as Medical Officers Counsellors Nurses Laboratory Technical Officers and Clinic Assistants/Support staff.
  • Conduct as an in-charge of supporting the planning and supervision role of the staff in the clinic of LPK Centre.
  • Lead and organize the weekly clinical team meeting with all clinical team members.
  • Set up work objectives and action plans for the Clinical teams.
  • Mobilize and stimulate the clinical team to meet the objectives established together.
  • Appraise performance of team members: lead the annual evaluation interview for team members under direct supervision and support intermediary managers/supervisors in preparing evaluations of their staff.
  • Responsible as a staff standing person in the clinic when a medical officer is on leave.

2. Service Quality Client Care and Clinic Operations

  • Ensure proper patient flow in the clinic and establish a regular feedback mechanism from clients and Medical Officers.
  • Oversee the quality of work in the clinic on a regular basis.
  • Responsible for ensuring client satisfaction and safety during service provision at LPK.
  • Ensure the well-functioning of testing treatment and case retention services through the Case Management Model.
  • Follow LPK protocols and guidelines as well as safety and security rules in all program components.

3. Program Planning Monitoring and Implementation

  • Assist the Deputy Director Operations in developing program-related activities.
  • Monitor monthly program data to meet project targets and improve performance outcomes.
  • Follow up on progress toward objectives through reporting systems; identify issues and propose solutions through discussions with the clinical team.
  • Play an active role in designing implementing and monitoring projects and ensuring the targets set are met within timeline.

4. Team Integration and Communication

  • Lead the improvement of the integrated Clinical Team in collaboration with the Technical Team.
  • Work closely with the Area Supervisor to strengthen communication between the Clinical and Outreach teams.

5. External Relations and Advocacy

  • Advocate and build strong partnerships with stakeholders including the National AIDS Program.
  • Maintain good relationships with partner organisations and Community Based Organizations or Networks in the region.

6. Data Recording Keeping and Reporting

  • Ensure the data recordings such as Pre ART (black book) ART (red book) and white cards PrEP screening forms Facility record and PrEP follow up forms are accurate and on time.
  • Keep all the files records and information thoroughly to ensure the confidentiality of all the clients.
  • Liaise with the M&E team to prepare for the monthly reports to National Programs.

Qualifications :

  • Must be a M.B; B.S. graduate.
  • Have at least 3 years of working experience in public health settings.
  • Strong experiences of working in HIV clinics (supervision experience is an asset) & / or most at-risk populations of HIV would be an asset.
  • Competent in using basic Microsoft software package (MS Word MS Excel MS. Power Point etc.)
  • Competent English four skills.
  • Must be a great team player.
  • Must have good communication skills.
