Operations Engineer

Joining us as an Operations Engineer you will have the opportunity to work from AthensGreece on international projects for Netcompany contributing to Denmarks most complex IT solutions. 

You will oversee sub-projects conduct daily stand-ups and report status to customers or project managers. Leadership within your team will be essential as you will delegate tasks and assist team members. A project manager will support you enhancing your management and IT delivery skills.

Youll join a high-performing international team valuing professionalism and collaboration. Our projects include significant IT initiatives for Denmarks state municipalities and business community.

As an Operations Engineer you will:

• Manage one or more business-critical systems ensure continuous and correct monitoring and ensure backups. This also includes scripting and tuning the platform.
• Collaborate with other team members on security problem solving and process optimization as well as participate in safety testing and incident problem and change management.
• Contribute to operation projects such as large-scale technology transitions including planning and implementing specific operational tasks.
• Use a wide variety of cloud tooling to manage and monitor infrastructure.
• Maintain cloud-based environments for various projects based on Microsoft Azure and Oracle Cloud.
• Work with Kubernetes platforms Managed containers and other new technologies 
• Report tasks activities and SLA goals
• Build new environments in a DevOps team.  
• Respond to customer requests change management incidents etc. based on ITIL practices.
• Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and GITOPS with Argo CD  
• Participate in project work as a part of the development cycle providing high level of availability of applications and systems based on project and SLA requirements.
• Respond to customer requests change management incidents etc. based on ITIL practices.
• Coach and guide more junior members within the team.

Qualifications :

What would make you a fit for the role:

• A Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or relevant discipline
• 2-3 years of hands on experience as a system engineer operations engineer SRE or DevOps engineer in a cloud environment.
• Commitment to staying up to date with new technologies and valuing knowledge sharing.
• Structured and able to organize your own time effectively.
• Proficiency in English both written and spoken.
• Working experience with Kubernetes Onprem Azure Services
• Working knowledge of IaC Terraform Ansible
• Solid Linux skills
• Kafka working knowledge
• Scripting languages experience (ideally Bash or PowerShell/ Python)

It would also be a plus if you have experience with:

• Azure DevOps / GIT
• SnowFlake
• Cloudflare or a similar WAF/CDN product
• Cryptography and TLS/SSL certificate management
• Cloud security principles
• Computer networks and Internet protocols (HTTP TCP UDP DNS)
• Qualys security products.
