Job Summary

Position Summary
Strategic sourcing and management of indirect materials to achieve structural cost reduction and sustainability targets.

Main function/responsibility/competencies

Management of two or more Indirect Material Groups within the country
Development of short- and long-term strategies to improve overall efficiencies
Identification and delivery of structural saving initiatives through a data driven approach and cooperation with technical departments
Develop and maintain supplier relationships based on quality innovation and sustainability
Adapt and improve tools systems and processes to better achieve the above

Qualifications :

Bachelor or Master in Commercial or Technical field preferred
5 years of experience and proven track record in procurement supply chain management or project management (engineering or chemical preferred)
Analytical skills with strong data analysis and interpretation
Strong negotiation skills and ability to build strategic relationships with suppliers
Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g. SAP Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite
In-depth knowledge of global procurement practices and market trends
Strong communication and interpersonal skills ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization
Professional certifications such as CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) CPM (Certified Purchasing Manager) or PMP (Project Management Professional) preferred

Fluent in English and Japanese preferred
