Qualifications for this Career Opportunity
Knowledge of contract administration activities bid process and request for proposal (RFP) and invitation for bids (IFB).
Strong skill in utilizing Microsoft Office Programs (Word Excel PowerPoint and Outlook)
Knowledge of accounts payable as it relates to purchasing and cost-benefit analysis.
Meet minimum qualifications:
Bachelors degree in contract management business accounting or related field.
Two years of professional experience with contract assignments including evaluating invitations for bids and proposals; and professional purchasing experience with both goods and services.
Equivalent combinations of directly related education and experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

The Office of Procurement and Contracts within the Business Services and Internal Support Bureau provides the general and specific oversight of the decentralized procurement function for the Department of Public Health and Human Services. The position also performs professional and administrative work in purchasing a wide variety of goods and services needed by the Department. This is accomplished independently of the Department of Administration based on a formal delegation of procurement authority between the two agencies in compliance with Title 18 MCA.
