Temporary full time postion for the 2025-26 school year.

Job Summary

To enable each child/student to pursue an education as smoothly and completely as possible in the absence of his/her regular teacher.

Essential Duties

  1. Reports to the Assigned School Office upon arrival receive assignment for the day.
  1. Reviews with the substitute plans attendance forms and schedules to be followed during the teaching day and will contact the office with questions.
  1. Teaches the lessons outlined in the absent teachers lesson plan.
  1. Follows all policies rules and procedures to which regular teachers are subject and which good teaching practices dictates.
  1. Assumes responsibility for pupil behavior in class during lunch and recess periods and during fire of other disaster drills.
  1. Lists assignments made and evaluates students work.
  1. Performs such other duties and assumes other responsibilities as assigned by the Administration.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge Skills and/or Abilities Required)

Must possess a high school diploma (or GED) an associate degree or a bachelors degree. Minimum age shall beeighteen years of age for elementary locations and twenty oneyears of age for middle or high locations. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the School Board or Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable.
