Job Summary

Cedar City Corporation is seeking a qualified individual to fill a driver position for Cedar Area Transportation(CATS). Under General supervision performs a variety of duties associated with picking up and delivering customers of the transportation system.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES:

Operates transportation system vehicles in safe and responsible manner abiding by all laws and regulations applicable to a Class D operators license with Taxi endorsement.
Picks up and delivers transportation customers as instructed by dispatch or with daily schedule. Assist passengers as needed to ensure safe and courteous service. Will use bi-fold ramp to accommodate wheel chair patrons.
Uses vehicle two-way radio system in maintaining communication as needed with dispatcher to be available for transportation requests.
Collects fare money from or checks vouchers/passes of all riders. Make change as required. Maintains accurate accounting of all monies associated with ridership.
Maintains accurate records of all users of transportation system using designated forms.
Conducts inspections of vehicle as directed and maintains vehicle in clean functional and presentable fashion. Reports any mechanical concerns to supervisor as soon as practicable.
