Physician Assistant Pain Management (1099)
Pay rate: $66.00 per hour 1099.

Education:
Must have a Masters of Physician Assistant Studies degree from a PA educational program accredited by Accreditation Review Commission for the Physician Assistant or its predecessors and acceptable to the Surgeon General USAF is mandatory OR must have successfully completed all education and training requirements leading to and graduated from an accredited national state or military equivalent school (MSN or DNP degree) for Nurse Practitioner (Family and/or Geriatric Specialty).
General knowledge: In addition to the general PA or NP skill set provider should have advanced knowledge of pharmacology and pain management protocols and demonstrate proficiency in performing minor surgical procedures and injections.
Certifications:Shall hold and maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications using American Heart Association or client guidelines. Members must present proof of current certification(s) through American Heart Association or client.
Experience: Shall have a minimum of 24 months of experience working as a Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner within the last 36 months. Previous experience in pain management or related fields is required including knowledge of interventional pain management techniques pharmacotherapy for chronic pain and multimodal pain management strategies. Strongly preferred working knowledge of the military healthcare system including TRICARE health benefits and familiarity with the unique needs of military families.
Board certification: Provider must hold current certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). Maintenance of required certification is mandatory or must hold a Nurse Practitioner certification from either the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
Licensure/Registration: Providers must have a permanent full and unrestricted Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner license to practice in a State District of Columbia the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico or a territory of the United States.
