QUALIFICATIONS:
Must hold valid Michigan Teaching Certificate in area of responsibility EX endorsement preferred.
Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable
SALARY:
Per Rochester Education Association Master Agreement

Selection of an individual to fill this vacancy is determined by the appropriate administrators based upon experience qualifications and professional attributes.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid Michigan Teaching certificate in area of Special Education
- Bachelors degree and/or endorsement in mathematics (EX) preferred
- Physical and mental ability to perform the essential functions of the job.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
REPORTS TO: Building Principal and Secondary Special Education Administrator
JOB GOAL:
To devise and implement individualized programs for students who havespecial needs which prevent them from learning through traditional means.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides direct instruction to students in resource learning environment or team-teaching with general education teachers. Facilitates case management services to students eligible for special education.
- Evaluates the progress of students eligible for special education.
- Communicates with parents regarding questions and concerns they may have relating to the students programs and services.
- Collaborates with General Education teachers to ensure appropriate instruction and supports for students eligible for special education.
- Develops and implements IEPs and related documents for assigned students.
- Performs other duties as requested by the Special Education Administrator or Building Principal.
