Position Overview

The VP of Engineering (Fintech / SaaS) will lead the design development and scaling of the companys software platforms.
Youll oversee engineering execution architecture and team development ensuring secure compliant and scalable systems that meet market and regulatory demands.

This is a hands-on technical leadership role ideal for an engineering executive with deep fintech or SaaS experience and a proven record of building high-performing teams from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and mentor a growing team of software engineers DevOps and QA professionals.
Drive the development and scalability of multi-tenant SaaS products in regulated fintech environments.
Architect and implement systems for high performance reliability and compliance (SOC 2 PCI DSS ISO 27001).
Partner closely with Product Compliance and Executive teams to align technology delivery with business goals.
Establish engineering best practices including CI/CD pipelines observability testing automation and documentation standards.
Own technical roadmap and ensure timely delivery across product milestones.
Evaluate and introduce emerging technologies to improve system architecture and developer velocity.
Build a culture of ownership transparency and technical excellence across the engineering organization.
Lead vendor and partner integrations to ensure secure data exchange and reliable platform uptime.
Report progress and KPIs on delivery speed uptime and customer-impact metrics to the executive team.

Qualifications

10 years in software engineering including 5 years in leadership roles.
Proven success scaling SaaS or fintech platforms from early architecture through growth and optimization.
Deep understanding of API-driven architecture data security and compliance frameworks (SOC 2 PCI DSS ISO 27001 GDPR).
Experience managing cloud-based systems (AWS GCP or Azure) with modern DevOps practices.
Strong grasp of software development principles in languages such as Python or Java.
Skilled at building and leading distributed teams with measurable delivery performance.
Excellent communication and decision-making skills with a bias toward action.

Must-Haves

Direct leadership of engineering in a fintech or SaaS environment.
Experience scaling secure compliant multi-tenant systems.
Strong understanding of SOC 2 PCI and data privacy frameworks.
Track record of improving engineering velocity and uptime through automation and process excellence.
Hands-on leadership style willing to dive deep into architecture and problem-solving when needed.
