Summary of Role
The Host will be responsible to coordinate the flow and service of our restaurant guests.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Seats guests and manages the flow of reservations to maximize the guest experience.
- Answers phone calls and answer guest inquiries
- Takes tracks and organizes reservations group seating requests and any other special request as needed.
- Completes to-go orders
- Approaches guest and collects information needed to assist with seat and bar arrangements.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with the public and other team members in verbal and written form
- Ability to work independently
- Follow and enforce all hotel standards
- Assists the service staff in the service of food for the guests.
- Ensures service is more efficient and timelier and guarantees the best possible dining experience for the guest.
- Completes opening closing and side work.
- Sets up food carts and stations for service.
- Communicates with and supports all staff to better serve the guests.
- Deliver food and beverages to guests in an accurate and timely manner.
- Expo build tickets on food and kitchen line.
- Monitor each guests dining experience.
- Pre-set tables for dining and clear tables for the next course.
- Be knowledgeable of all menu items with ingredients in relation to common dietary restrictions.
- Always maintain a clean dining area.
- Ensure all equipment is in operation order and all supplies are up to par.
- Report equipment that needs repair or supplies that need to be ordered.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness sanitation and organization of assigned station and service areas.
- Follow 4 Keys service standards standard operation procedures and safety standards.
- Follow safety and security procedures.
- Work cohesively with co-workers and all departments as part of a team.
- Follow all appropriate policies and procedures while constantly striving to improve standards of operations.
- Adhere to attendance and reliability standards.
- Follow all additional duties as assigned by management.
Physical Requirements:
The minimum physical requirements for this position include but are not limited to:
- Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds frequently
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to bend and twist push and pull stoop and kneel
- Ascend and descend a ladder
