Project Manager - Cost Reduction & Value Engineering

Overview of the Role:

Join our clients dynamic Cost Reduction and Value Engineering Team and drive innovative engineering projects that shape the future of clean energy. This role offers the opportunity to manage cutting-edge Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) projects from conceptual design through implementation directly impacting our clients renewable energy portfolio and contributing to a sustainable future.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage engineering projects from conceptual design through commissioning and implementation
Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to identify product improvements or cost reduction ideas
Support implementation by providing technical input and project feasibility assessments
Lead project planning scheduling and resource allocation activities
Monitor project progress identify risks and implement mitigation strategies
Collaborate with engineering procurement and construction teams to ensure project deliverables
Develop and maintain project documentation reports and stakeholder communications
Attend industry conferences and network with suppliers and vendors
Provide input on process improvements and best practices for project delivery

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline
3 years of experience managing engineering projects from design to implementation
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional project teams and coordinate multiple stakeholders
Strong project management fundamentals including scope schedule budget and risk management
Understanding of engineering design processes technical specifications and implementation challenges
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
A sense of ownership and accountability for project outcomes
Intellectually curious individual who is enthusiastic about problem solving and creative thinking
A detail-oriented person with due diligence and research skills
Comfortable with fast-paced and constantly evolving environments

Desired Qualifications:

Experience with Solar PV and/or Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) projects or other Power generation systems
Knowledge of project valuation methodologies and financial metrics (NPV IRR LCOE)
Understanding of utility-scale energy project development
Experience with data analysis and analytics is preferred
