What youll do
Were looking for a Tax Accountant Associate to support Claras growing finance operations in Mexico. This role will be critical in ensuring the accuracy compliance and timeliness of our tax filings and financial reporting. Youll work closely with the Finance and Accounting teams to manage day-to-day tax obligations maintain detailed records and support audits and reporting processes.
Your responsibilities will include:
Calculating and filing federal taxes VAT ISR and withholdings including annual returns and DIOTS.
Managing electronic accounting tax mailbox communication and staying updated on SAT requirements and tax reforms.
Coordinating local tax filings such as SIPARE ISN and IMSS.
Executing international tax payments and monitoring credit balances.
Preparing and reconciling financial forms documents and reports.
Supporting the team with CUCA CUFIN depreciation (AF) and annual inflation adjustments.
Assisting with internal and external audits as required.
Who you are
Were looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. The preferred qualifications are a bonus not a requirement.
Must haves
Bachelors degree in Accounting
At least 4 years of experience in tax accounting including monthly provisional payments and annual returns
Intermediate English proficiency
Excellent skills in Excel Word Outlook and accounting software
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage complex tax filings
Nice to haves
Experience with Netsuite
Familiarity with international tax payment processes
Interest in AI tools to automate workflows
Working proficiency in Spanish and English
A good sense of humor

Claridians in a hybrid mode split their time between working from the office talking to or visiting customers or working from home. This hits a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other while supporting flexibility about how to do this in a way that makes sense for each individual and team.
We dont enforce a minimum number of days for most roles but youre expected to spend time at the office organically and be at the office most days during your ramp-up or when required by your leader.
