It also supports the Government Chief Digital Officer (GCDO) to drive the governments digital transformation and position government to succeed in a changing and evolving digital age.

The All of Government Services Delivery Group (AoGSD) is responsible for a broad Portfolio of All of Government ICT services and digital products to over 300 government agencies. AoGSD works closely with the supply market to deliver modern digital and ICT services across government through common capability agreements cloud framework agreements and contracts. Over $1 billion annually goes through our Portfolio.

The Technical Specialist ICT Capabilities provides expert level technical assistance and advice in the development and deployment of AoG ICT Capabilities including Common Capabilities Marketplace Framework Agreements Cloud Services and the Common Process Model. The Technical Specialist will provision effective technical consultancy and product advice for both BAU support and project/change work covering ICT Common Capabilities Marketplace Framework Agreements Cloud Services plus other services such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) as required.

The role will include engagement with internal stakeholders external agencies and suppliers to support and facilitate effective delivery of business outcomes.

In collaboration with the AoG Services Delivery team the Technical Specialist ensures a cohesive and integrated approach to development change and delivery enabling a complete digital and commercial products and portfolio ecosystem view.

About you:

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Extensive expert level proven experience in system and network design and development.
  • Expert level experience and technical expertise in developing implementing innovative information technology solutions preferably with a system or all-of-government focus.
  • Expert level knowledge of NZISM and other similar Management frameworks.
  • High level of knowledge in infrastructure solutions and software applications. Strong AoG capabilities knowledge desirable.
  • Extensive knowledge of highly available highly scalable cloud-based infrastructures and continuous delivery.
  • Expertise and a developed knowledge of Artificial Intelligence tools and deployment.
  • Proven demonstrable experience in developing and maintaining effective relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Demonstrable and extensive experience in solution architecture and integration solution design.
  • Some experience coaching and mentoring people is desirable.
  • Experience reviewing designs as part of a project or architecture team is desired.
  • Significant experience in working with suppliers to deliver effective outcomes.
  • A relevant tertiary level qualification.
  • System network design and solutioning orientated certification / qualification.
  • Able to hold a Confidential security clearance.
