What Youll Do

In the role of CARPENTER your duties will include:

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance of building woodwork and associated equipment.

• Design build install and repair structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials including furniture stairways door frames partitions and rafters.

• Read and interpret blueprints drawings and sketches to fully grasp requirements and provide accurate work estimates.

• Cut shape and smooth lumber and other material (e.g. fiberglass and drywall) according to measurements.

• Inspect building frameworks (e.g. walls roofs) to identify the need for repairs or replacements and ensure structural integrity.

• Liaise with other maintenance teams to coordinate renovations or major repair tasks.

• Adhere to safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment during all construction activities.

• Maintain accurate records of materials inventory and task completion to ensure accountability and project tracking.

• Other duties as required

This is a contingent position based upon contract award and will be located OCONUS

Requirements:

• TS/SCI w/ Poly Clearance or Secret Cleared with eligibility to upgrade

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)

• TVC/Journeyman Card Journeyman Carpenter Certificate or Completion of a recognized apprenticeship or vocational program.

• (10) years of experience two (2) of which are in a lead or supervisory role.

• Possess practical knowledge of repairs installation of floor and ceiling tile walls (plaster block drywall) masonry work locksmithing cabinet making framing form work and general knowledge of the painting trade.

• Have experience with operating small power tools and machinery as required.

• Have experience reading blueprints and perform material take-offs from prints.

• A willingness to work rotational shift if necessary including days evenings and nights as well as overtime weekends and holidays as required.

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Possesses an Active and current TS/SCI w/ Poly Clearance

• Effective Leadership and Communication skills to professionally work with the customer and subordinates.

• Knowledge of PM programs.
