A unique advisory firm based in Malta is seeking a German-speaking Part-Qualified Accountant to provide accounting support and guidance to their German-speaking this role you will work closely with the Managing Director and Co-Founder assisting clients based in both Germany and Malta.
This is a hybridrole that offers a salary of up to 38K.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Manage and support a varied client portfolio based in Malta and Germany
- Produce accurate timely and compliant financial reports and documentation
- Assist in preparing management accounts VAT returns and reconciliations
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes
- Maintain general ledgers and ensure all transactions are recorded accurately
- Liaise directly with clients to resolve accounting queries and provide guidance
- Collaborate with tax advisors and auditors where necessary
- Contribute to process improvements and ensure adherence to regulatory standards
Skills & Experience:
- Part-qualified in ACCA or holding a university degree in Accounting or Finance
- Fluent in German (non-negotiable) and English (written and spoken)
- 2 years of experience in a similar accounting role
- Experience in client interaction and portfolio management
- Good understanding of Tax and VAT principles
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Detail-oriented organised and able to explain financial data to non-financial audiences
