History Teacher – Shropshire – January 2026

About the Role
A well-regarded secondary school in North Shropshire is seeking a talented and enthusiastic History Teacher to join its team from January 2026. This is a full-time permanent position teaching across Key Stages 3 to 5 including GCSE and A-Level History.

Youll join a collaborative Humanities faculty that values curiosity discussion and critical thinking. The department offers a strong and well-sequenced curriculum supported by high-quality resources and modern teaching facilities. Lessons are enhanced by digital platforms access to archives and a culture of shared planning. There are also opportunities to contribute to enrichment through historical visits debating societies and local history projects.

Candidate Requirements
The successful candidate will:

• Hold QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification
• Have strong subject knowledge and the ability to teach GCSE and A-Level History
• Demonstrate creativity and organisation in lesson design
• Be reflective adaptable and committed to student progress
• Have the legal right to work in the UK

Experience in leading enrichment coursework or historical fieldwork is desirable but not essential.
