Job Summary
The Opportunity
A respected independent day school in Warwickshire invites applications for an exceptional Science Teacher to join its growing and forward-thinking faculty from January 2026. This is a full-time permanent position teaching across Key Stages 35 (GCSE and A-Level) with the aim of supporting a vibrant science curriculum that encourages inquiry innovation and intellectual curiosity.
What Were Looking For
We seek a candidate who:
- Holds a recognised teaching qualification (QTS / PGCE / equivalent)
- Demonstrates strong subject expertise across Biology Chemistry and/or Physics
- Has confidence teaching at GCSE and ideally A-Level
- Designs lessons that combine conceptual clarity practical investigation and student exploration
- Uses assessment feedback and differentiation to support student progress
- Is collaborative reflective and able to contribute to a busy ambitious academic environment
Experience leading enrichment activities supervising lab work coordinating projects or external partnerships would be a strong advantage.

The Role in More Detail
You will plan teach assess and refine science lessons across the full age range. You will lead practical work promote scientific thinking mentor students and prepare them for external examinations. You will contribute to scheme design resource development and departmental planning.
Beyond classroom teaching you may coordinate or lead extra initiatives such as STEM clubs science fairs external partnerships pupil-led investigations or outreach programmes. You will also have the opportunity to engage in cross-curricular STEM projects and support the development of school-wide inquiry-based learning.
