Responsibilities
- Teach engaging and intellectually challenging English Language and Literature lessons across the full age range (Key Stage 3 GCSE and A-Level).
- Prepare high-ability students for demanding public examinations including GCSE and A-Level maintaining the schools excellent results profile.
- Lead academic extension activities such as literary societies public speaking and debate to promote wider engagement with the subject.
- Contribute actively to the departments curriculum development and collaborative teaching practices.
- Act as a dedicated Form Tutor overseeing the pastoral well-being and academic monitoring of a small student group.
Requirements
- A 2:1 or First-Class degree in English Literature or a related field. Teaching qualification (QTS/PGCE) or equivalent independent sector teaching experience is essential.
