ECT Programme & Support
- Reduced Timetable: Statutory 10% reduction in teaching commitment in Year 1 of Induction (in addition to PPA time) allowing dedicated time for professional development.
- Dedicated Mentorship: Paired with an experienced subject-specialist mentor who will provide weekly 1:1 support and coaching informed by the Early Career Framework (ECF).
- ECT Development Sessions: Access to weekly high-quality CPD and ECF-aligned training sessions led by both internal leaders and external specialists.
The Role
- Teach engaging and accessible Mathematics lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 developing confidence and conceptual understanding in all pupils.
- Actively participate in departmental planning ensuring schemes of work are implemented effectively to secure strong GCSE results.
- Contribute to the schools co-curricular activities such as running a maths challenge club or booster sessions.
Requirements
- A relevant degree (Mathematics or related quantitative subject) and successful completion of ITT leading to Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) by January 2026.
- A passion for teaching and a commitment to securing excellent progress for students from diverse backgrounds.
- Energy resilience and a desire to develop quickly into an outstanding classroom practitioner.
