Key Responsibilities -
Bid Preparation: Review architectural drawings specifications and addenda to prepare complete accurate and timely estimates for Division 8 scope.

Quantity Take-Offs: Perform detailed material take-offs for hollow metal doors frames wood doors and architectural hardware.

Vendor Sourcing: Communicate with multiple suppliers and manufacturers to secure competitive pricing for materials and fabrication.

Submittals & Documentation: Prepare shop drawings hardware schedules technical documentation and submittal packages for awarded projects.

Project Handoff: Collaborate with Project Managers and Sales to ensure seamless project transitions and scope verification.

Value Engineering: Identify and propose cost-effective material substitutions and design alternatives without compromising quality.

System Maintenance: Update and maintain estimating software (ProTech Comsense or similar) with current pricing and project data.
Qualifications -
Experience: 3 years of estimating experience with commercial hollow metal doors frames wood doors and architectural hardware.

Blueprint Reading: Strong ability to interpret blueprints architectural drawings specifications and door schedules.

Code Knowledge: Familiarity with building codes fire ratings life safety (NFPA 80/101) and ADA compliance preferred.

Certifications (Preferred): AHC (Architectural Hardware Consultant) CDC (Certified Door Consultant) or CET designation.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and industry estimating software.

Detail-Oriented: Demonstrated accuracy and thoroughness in all aspects of estimating and documentation.

Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for client vendor and internal collaboration.
