Job Summary

RecruitNet International Ltd specialises in Healthcare recruitment for Domestic and Overseas candidates for Hospitals Nursing Homes Home care and Community care.

We are hiring a Healthcare Assistant to a leading Nursing home in WexfordIreland.

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality person-centred care to residents or patients ensuring their comfort dignity and wellbeing at all times.

Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including eating dressing toileting bathing grooming and mobility support.

Participate in and enhance the quality of resident events and activities promoting social interaction engagement and emotional wellbeing.

Support residents independence while providing assistance and encouragement in line with individual care plans.

Observe record and report any changes in residents physical or emotional condition to the Nurse or Line Manager promptly.

Assist with feeding and hydration following dietary guidelines and respecting residents preferences.

Maintain a clean safe and comfortable environment by adhering to infection prevention and control standards.

Provide companionship and engage in meaningful conversations to support residents mental and emotional health.

Requirements

QQI Level 5 Award - Healthcare or related qualification.

Excellent track record as a top-performing healthcare worker.

Experience in Elder care

Excellent communication skills

Excellent personal care skills.

Previous experience as a healthcare assistant or similar role in a healthcare setting preferably in dementia care
