Administration Officer

  • $81617.00 per annum 12% superannuation
  • Full time ongoing position
  • Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung / Melbourne CBD location(hybrid 3 days a week in office)

About the opportunity

This role provides high level administrative support to theIndependent Review Division which is made up of two teams:

  • Internal Review Unit (IRU) provides employees employers duty holders and relevant parties with an option to make a request to review Inspector decisions licence decisions and Infringement Notices under under the Occupational Health & Safety Act 2004 and relevant forms of Victorian workplace legislation.

  • Workers Compensation Independent Review Services (WCIRS) allows injured workers an opportunity to request an impartial review of certain disputed reviewable decisions under the relevant Victorian compensation law that havent been resolved during the conciliation process where particular timeframes and criteria are met.

As the Administration Officer you will be the first point of contact for people seeking information about these separate review processes playing a key role in helping the division deliver efficient transparent and professional services.

Key accountabilities:

  • Provide clear concise and accurate professional advice regarding the application process to applicants and stakeholders.
  • Monitor and manage the IRU and WCIRS inboxes and phone lines.
  • Collate relevant information and draft required correspondence to support review processes ensuring all required timeframes are adhered to.
  • Maintain and update registers and databases.
  • Assist with general divisional tasks.
  • Ensure all records are professionally managed and compliant.

About you

You are organised detail-focused and enjoy supporting a busy and high performing team. You also possess the following:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Excellent time management and the ability to prioritise and work under pressure.
  • Proven administration experience in a stakeholder-focused environment
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office (Word Excel Outlook OneNote Teams PowerPoint)
  • Flexibility to manage a wide range of tasks and changing priorities.
  • Knowledge of WorkSafes legislative framework (desirable)
  • Qualifications or equivalent experience in administration or related field (desirable)
